Can an employer require an employee to sign a non-competition or non-solicitation agreement?
Employers can require non-solicitation agreements, but they must be reasonable in scope, duration, and geographic area to be enforceable. Non-competion agreements are no longer legal or enforceable in Ontario except in very limited circumstances.
