What are the rules for severance and termination pay in Ontario?

Termination pay is based on an employee’s length of service, ranging from 1 to 8 weeks of regular pay. Severance pay applies to employees with 5+ years of service and is calculated as one week’s pay per year of service, up to 26 weeks.
